Kyle Richards and her husband Mauricio Umansky are currently separated, which will no doubt be a big plot line on this season of the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills and has already created some drama on Dancing With the Stars.
And as a result of all of this ^^, some fans have been questioning whether the two might be faking their split for ratings. Answer? No!!!!!
Kyle was actually asked about the speculation on the Bravo Hot Mic podcast by none other than Bravo executive Alex Baskin, who said "What do you make of the claim that—going back to using your favorite term—that you are fabricating the issues in your marriage for relevance?"
In response, Kyle said "What human being would create a story like this for—no offense, Alex, I love you and everybody with the show—but who would do that for ratings? Put their family through this. That is one of the dumbest things I've maybe ever heard in these 13 years. I'm going to pretend that I'm separated and torture my children so that people tune in? I mean, it's just the dumbest thing I've ever heard."
She went on to say, "And when people talk about you know 'oh they did these things to be relevant,' I mean, I'm already on the show 13 years. Like, I said, it goes back to people's misconception. I care about being relevant to my friends and family. Yes, I'm on television but I'm good. I'm not looking to be more relevant. I'm good. And I would never put my family through this, ever, for—I almost said for a dumb TV show, sorry!"
That's that on that!
